I am working with a global leader in manufacturing and distributing high-quality machinery attachments primarily for the construction, earthmoving, and agricultural industries. They are looking to the UK for strong talent that can bring knowledge and high manufacturing standards to their organisation.

Principal Accountabilities:

(These accountabilities are not exhaustive and represent examples of the work performed by this position only)

* Perform routine repairs, maintenance, and service work, including handling breakdowns.

* Liaise with the Administrator and Coordinator to schedule customer service work and assist in quoting requirements.

* Detect, diagnose, and troubleshoot faults by disassembling equipment and determining the most appropriate outcome or solution.

* Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts/assemblies, using various tools to test performance.

* Complete daily repair logs and communicate with the supervisor/manager.

* Note down all parts required on the original check-in sheet.

* Perform maintenance services such as oil changes and flow and pressure tests to achieve optimum product performance.

* Carry out goods deliveries on-site as required, dealing professionally with customers.

* Investigate and repair breakdowns on-site as required, dealing professionally with customers.

* Maintain a sound knowledge of products and services.

* Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, and suggesting improved methods.

* Train other employees in service and other relevant areas, including both in-house and interstate when required.

* Be responsible for the care and use of all workshop tools and equipment and return them to the correct place after use.

* Clearly and legibly identify and tag all pieces of equipment when delivered in for service.

* Ensure all disassembled parts are cleaned and placed in tagged storage bins for ease of identification.

* Ensure compliance with OHS policies, procedures, and all legislative requirements at all times.

* Be available to take technical calls/support related to service during the annual shutdown period or after hours on occasion.

* Assist in the Assembly department from time to time to help with operational requirements.

* Assist with training and assembly of Remote and Schibeci loaders in assembly.

* Diagnose and fault-find issues related to sign-off machines in assembly.

* Assist when required to sign off machines during final assembly.

* Undertake any other responsibilities, consistent with skills, qualifications, and experience, as required from time to time.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

* Proven working experience as a service technician; relevant trade qualification preferred.

* Analytically minded with strong problem-solving abilities; ability to fault-find.

* Strong mechanical aptitude; hydraulics experience and knowledge is advantageous.

* Current forklift license.

Teamwork, Leadership, and Interpersonal Skills:

* Self-motivated with a high level of communication skills.

* Good organizational and planning skills.

* Accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.

* Discretion is paramount as exposure to sensitive and confidential information forms part of this role
