The Opportunity

Join CSL Innovation's Recombinant Process Development team. We seek an enthusiastic, goal-oriented, collaborative, and innovative candidate to provide scientific expertise and leadership for our downstream process development team. As a Senior Manager joining the Recombinant Process Development team within Biopharmaceutical Product Development (BPD), you will be responsible for recombinant protein purification process development activities for a variety of therapeutic candidates. You will report to the Director Process Development.

The Role

• Your main responsibility will be heading the recombinant downstream process development team. You will provide technical expertise and leadership to the assigned team members.
• With your team you will design and develop state-of-the-art purification processes for recombinant proteins, including the technology transfer from product development to GMP manufacturing.
• You will provide high level scientific expertise and guidance in the field of protein purification development applying a risk-based Quality by Design (QbD) approach.
• You will be responsible for setting project objectives and implementing scientific and technical strategy.
• You will gather information on new technology in the field of protein purification and drive exploration and implementation of innovative technology.

Your Skills and Experience

• Postgraduate degree (preferably MSc or PhD) and/or extensive experience in relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience and/or equivalent experience in a relevant academic environment.
• Relevant experience in downstream process development preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated ability in managing and contributing to highly effective teams.
• Experience in project work and excellent communication skills (English language).
• Experience in working in cross-functional, multicultural, and international teams.
