Health & Safety Advisor – Essex
We are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor with construction experience to work for a business delivering a number of major projects linked to critical national infrastructure.
Experience
* NEBOSH General or Construction certificate
* Knowledge and experience of CDM Regulations
* Background as a Safety Advisor in a construction environment (Utilities experience desirable)
* Demonstrated high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example and promoting a positive safety culture
* Able to manage potential conflict during site inspections with operational teams
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel
Duties
* Conduct site inspections to monitor direct employees and sub-contractors
* Provide expert advice on e.g. risk assessments, risk management, fire safety, CDM regulations, hazardous substances, noise and machinery
* Be the point of contact for external bodies including the Health and Safety Executive, Clients and other stakeholders as directed by the SHEQ Manager
* Support incident management & investigation process
* Delivery of training to operatives and new starters
Location – Essex – Regionwide travel
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £45,000
