Head of Finance

An exciting new opportunity is available with our client who are an international FM services provider for a Head of Finance/ Financial Controller to join their team.
This is a fabulous opportunity to work for a company who are entrepreneurial, fast paced and evolving with huge growth plans over the coming years. With a multi-million current turnover the successful candidate will be able to truly embrace this role and make it their own.
Our client is looking for someone who is ACCA or CIMA or equivalent qualified and has a strong commercial acumen and who can provide strong commercial leadership to the business. You will also need experience of working in the Facilities Management or associated services.
The ideal candidate will be currently working as an existing Finance Director, Head of Finance or Finance Controller who is ready to step up into their next role and has the required skills and mindset.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
· Managing the finance team
· Internal and external payroll
· Prepare reports on MI monthly and quarterly
· Credit control
· Development of external relationships
· Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing performance and risks
· Target and manage all accounting personnel
· Oversee all audit and control operations
· Forecast and report to management
· Provide financial and contractual support to the sales team
The role holder will be able to challenge and influence with confidence, as well as possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are able to build and maintain effective working relationships with teams at all levels. It is crucial that the role holder will be able demonstrate strong leadership and team management; the role requires a leader who can develop and mentor the finance team.
In addition applicants will require
* Considerable post-qualified experience gained from both business finance/performance roles and accounting & financial control roles.
* Experience must include financial accounting and leading month end close, evidence of responding to and working with external auditors, providing analysis, forecasting and planning, supporting and challenging businesses to make optimal operational and performance decisions.
* Facilities Management or similar industry experience required.
* Experience may include M&A activity, business risk management, external audit, systems implementations.
* Experience of successfully leading and developing a team is essential.
* Financial support for business deals (e.g. new contracts, M&A etc) is preferred.
