Branch Manager - Glasgow

My client specialises in high quality, economical industrial hose, hydraulics and associate site services. A reputable and successful company with a great work ethic.

An energetic Branch Manager is required to manage the Glasgow office. You must be enthusiastic, proactive, a team player with management and P&L experience.

Responsibilities

· Assume responsibility for the branch P&L, ensuring profitable sustainable growth.

· Take overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Branch by providing support to the sales and workshop teams and ensuring that the branch runs smoothly and efficiently.

· Work closely with all teams to ensure customers’ requirements are met and delivered on time.

· Attending customer sites and regularly interacting with and building relationships with customers

· Attend bi-annual Branch Managers meetings, held across all company branches.

· Support the administrative task within the sales office ensuring that documentation produced is accurate and in line with company procedures. This line of support will involve supervising your internal sales team or raising actions with senior management

· Promptly action customer enquiries and leads. Direct and coordinate new and potential enquiries to appropriate Technical and Sales support staff.

· Advise and discuss with purchasing future inventory requirements or changes based on new and potential business as and when they occur.

· Ensure adequate staff levels to cover absences and peak workloads

· Ensure all personnel matters are resolved in accordance with the company’s guidelines

· Carry out performance appraisals with all team members on an ongoing basis, sustaining a culture of development and personal growth.

· Support other the other branches as and when required with their goals.

· Management background with strong team development ethos.

· Problem analysis and solving

· Adaptability and ability to work under pressure

· Ability to absorb and interpret technical information

Desirable Skills:

· Knowledge of the Fluid Power Market

· Experience of selling into local B2B businesses.
