Interim Managing Director - Packaging Manufacturer
An exciting interim leadership opportunity has arisen with a leading packaging manufacturer based in Yorkshire. This business has an annual turnover of £8 million and is backed by a major private equity firm with a portfolio valued over £100 million.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Interim Managing Director to provide strategic operational leadership for an initial period of 3-6 months. With key focus on the Sales function, to help develop it's proposition and sales figures.
As the MD, you will be responsible for driving performance improvement across all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all day-to-day operations and P&L accountability
Implement operational excellence initiatives to enhance efficiencies
Lead commercial activities to increase sales and identify new opportunities
Liaise with the private equity investors and report on progress
Mentor and develop the existing senior management team
Candidate Requirements
Proven track record operating at Managing Director level
Extensive operational management experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrable success in sales/revenue growth and commercial development
Packaging industry experience would be a significant advantage
Ability to commute to the company's site in Yorkshire (3 days per week)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to make an immediate impact
Contract Details
Initial 3-6 month contract (potential to extend)
3 days per week (Monday-Wednesday or similar)
Competitive day rate of £700 - £900 per day (negotiable for the ideal candidate)
