Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Sheffield on a full-time basis starting in September 2024.

Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield, United Kingdom
Start Date: September 2024
Duration: Until end of July 2025 (with potential for permanent role)

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with Special Needs, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with Special Needs and SEND in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (desirable but not essential).
