Maintenance Engineer

Leader industrial are working with a well established processing dairy in Keighley and Grassington.
The business currently produces & distributes milk, along with other associated dairy products, throughout West Yorkshire and the surrounding area.
Responsibilities for the maintenance engineer include
To provide electrical and mechanical maintenance to a range of machinery including shrink wrappers, conveyors, generators, chillers and bottling machinery.
Reacting to urgent breakdowns reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
Electrical repairs to motors, drives, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring, switches, relays, contactors, sensors
PLC fault finding and interrogation to trace back faults. - Recording and communicating all findings
Assisting with projects and the installation of new plant - Communicating effectively with the engineering manager
Assisting with developing and implementing line improvements, new installations, offline repairs,
planned maintenance and any other tasks deemed appropriate by the engineering manager. - Adhere to all company policies.Experience essential in the areas below - further development and training will be provided.
Electrical qualification or willing to undertake training to gain qualification
Electronics/plc
Pneumatics
Mechanical engineering
Mig and Tig welding
A proven track record in an engineering and fault finding role
A can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
The position is based around a 5 day week, Mon-Sat coverage with average 48 hours per week.
