Trademark Sales Executive

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Sales Executive to join our Commercial Services Team on a permanent basis.

The Commercial Services Department generates income through sales of the Vegan Trademark, the original vegan certification standard established in 1990 and used globally across thousands of products to help make veganism more accessible.

Working alongside the Communications and Fundraising Department, the Campaigns, Policy and Research Department and the Operations Department, this role will be working within a team of sales professionals proactively contacting businesses to sell the benefits of the Vegan Trademark.

Our successful candidate will enjoy nurturing sustainable and long-term relationships, finding the right fit for our clients and delivering excellent and on-brand customer service to create a positive client experience.

The post requires a confident and experienced salesperson who can work and collaborate effectively in a remote working environment as well as presenting confidently face to face. They should be motivated by closing deals, hitting targets and have an eye for new opportunities. As well as managing an inbound pipeline, they should have a passion for developing outbound sales.

Key responsibilities of the role:

As Trademark Sales Executive, you will:

- Identify sales opportunities and develop leads into confirmed orders by engagement, discovery calls, pitching and cold calling, including by use of networking and social media.
- Convert leads into orders through effective and timely engagement, selling the key features and benefits of the Vegan Trademark.
- Support on the development of tactical sales plans in line with strategy.
- Achieve a range of KPIs centred around revenue, meetings and outreach.
- Develop own sales pipeline in line with budget-driven targets.
- Develop a good understanding of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market across a wide range of products.
- Attend trade shows and events from time to time.
- Contribute to team meetings to share success and updates.
- Work alongside our marketing team, collaborating on ideas to support sales growth.

To be considered as our Trademark Sales Executive you must have:

- English, Maths and Science GCSEs A*–C grade or equivalent. 
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant role.
- Demonstrable sales success within a B2B environment. 
- A thorough understanding of how to overcome objections and negotiate with clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong MS Office skills and be computer literate, plus experience of using a CRM.
- The ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues and Trademark clients.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines while under pressure.
- The ability to demonstrate you can hit targets, and deliver desired objectives and outcomes.
- Good knowledge of whether ingredients in food, cosmetics, toiletries, clothing and household products are derived from other animals.
- A results-driven approach and be self-motivated.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
- A friendly manner and be calm under pressure, professional and confident.
- A discreet and confidential attitude.
