Position Description:
Manage and coordinate office engineering activities for construction projects
Assist in the review and analysis of project plans, specifications, and contracts
Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and consultants
Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and RFIs
Coordinate and track project submittals, approvals, and transmittals
Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules
Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status
Resolve project issues, conflicts, and discrepancies
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Eight (8) years full time paid professional experience in a similar or equivalent position involved in project or construction management of commercial and/or public or educational facility construction projects with values in excess of $15M
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Knowledge of construction industry practices and standards
Understanding of project scheduling and cost control
Preferred Experience:
Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design process
