An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Design Engineer to join my client based in Telford. Our client is a leading supplier and manufacturer of electrical solutions.

The ideal candidate will have ideally come from a manufacturing background and a general hands on attitude toward the job. You will have great interpersonal skills giving you the ability to manage projects independently

Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

Support the creation of test plan for the design verification
Accompany design verification testing and participate in the product validation process
Use knowledge about Low Voltage Systems to introduce the business in project business activity
Responsible for electrical network calculation - have an understanding of network topology especially for Low Voltage Systems
Use CAD tool (Creo 7.0) to model designs
Apply Design methodologies and follow the FMEA process

Skills and Qualifications

Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering
Solid knowledge on applicable standards (like IEC 61439; IEC 62208, British Standard versions)
Experience with device integration/system design, sheet metal, plastic part design, design of electrical busbar systems, thermal dissipation and sort circuit ratings (advantageous)
General knowledge of manufacturing processes
Knowledge of SAP and PLM tools
Have a hands-on mentality
Good interpersonal skills, ability to manage projects independently
Familiar with CAD tool, ideally Creo 7.0
