Do you want to play a pivotal role in the ongoing growth of a highly successful SME, adding value to groundbreaking projects, taking their wireline telemetry system to the next level, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy, working closely with founders and senior engineers, who have been involved in bringing seminal products to market, within a company that is dominating their niche market?
On offer is the opportunity to work alongside a specialist company which designs and manufactures downhole logging and well-intervention instrumentation for the oil and gas, geothermal and transition energy sectors for a global client base. They provide one-of-a-kind solutions commercially available in the industry and primarily produce complex novel sensor technologies, high-pressure and temperature applications and high-powered electro-mechanical devices.
You will be responsible for taking the company's well-established wireline telemetry system to the next generation. You will take overall responsibility for maintenance and development of the design, as well as participating in code review, performing other programming tasks and providing troubleshooting advice.
The Role:
Working with OFDM technologies
Able to apply knowledge of Forward Error Corrections methods
Use your expertise in algorithms, implementation techniques and signal processing theory and embedding code for critical applications
Able to use programming languages such as VHDL and C/C++
Familiar with model packages such as Matlab and Octave
Write structural code and clear documentationThe Person:
