Senior Data Specialist - Remote (Belgium) - Permanent
I am currently working with a client that are looking for a Senior Data Specialist to join the team in Antwerp.
The client is big on providing the most accessible and curated data on every mass consumer retail product. They are highly motivated about the quality of their data and are passionate on making it work for their customers.
You will get the chance to work with some of the largest companies active in the retail sector across Europe. Your job will include collecting, standardizing and visualizing data tailored to the needs of client's on a daily basis, providing a service that makes a huge impact on companies.
To be apart of this team and contribute to their high quality service - I am helping them find the best candidates in the market that can deliver to their customers. They are looking for a hands-on technical consultant that understand data flows and is also confident to take on a role that is a little different where you will dive into the data insights and share them with clients whilst inspiring and coaching the team where necessary.

Role
- Understanding customer needs and defining deliverables through workshops.
- Translating customers' feedback into pragmatic technical solutions.
- Working together with product owners, data engineers and data scientists on a regular basis.
- Inspire and coach other team members on technical aspects.
- Fully understand the data flows, pipelines and working data lake for insights.
- Monitoring and safeguarding the running of reports and dashboards so that our customers can always rely on them.
Requirements
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL principles, and data modeling techniques.
- Designing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in SQL and Python (Snowflake as a plus)
- Strong understanding of data flows and working on the data lake for insights.
- Good communication skills and the ability for stakeholder management.
- BI skills: Experience BI tools (Tableau, QlikView, Power BI) are a plus.
- Languages: English and Dutch or German (All 3? Even better!)
