Work together with us to bring our consumer data platform to the next level. We built a central consumer data platform that contains all interactions and engagements of our consumers with PostNL. Our platform is mission critical in supplying valuable data to other teams in the Consumer department.
Uitdagingen
You will be translating complex business processes, into practical software applications. Our applications are built with Python and with Serverless AWS infrastructure CI/CD in a microservices architecture. You are most welcome to think with your team about the use of new technologies, product improvements and the software architecture.
All modern technologies and our whole engineering community are here to support you. You will work together with allying platforms, peers, and colleagues in the consumer domain. Moreover, you will be part of the PostNL engineering community in which we share "best practices" and innovations in our company.

Visible work: Our goal is to digitise our entire parcels supply chain (on average 1.1 million parcels a day with peaks to over 2 million) and make it data-driven.
Challenge: We work every day to build scalable real-time and event-driven architectures. With this, we want to provide centralised control of our logistics packages chain

You are passionate about technology, data, in for Serverless infrastructure and an advocate when it comes to microservices architecture. You love to apply your knowledge and skills in designing, developing, and improving technical applications in our consumer tech domain. In summary you can find yourself in the following background:
Designing and implementing cloud-native, distributed microservices have no secrets for you
You're comfortable with building Serverless solutions on top of Amazon Web Services (AWS); we use Lambda, Glue, Athena, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, and other similar products offered, and CDK to manage & deploy our services
You have at least 3 to five years of experience with a modern programming language, like typescript, C# or Python.
You enjoy crafting software that makes a meaningful difference for millions of consumers, and you know how to use data structures and design patterns to do so

Salary between €4,280 and €7,054 gross per month (scale 10/11/12) for 37 hours per week.
Scope to work hybrid and arrange your hours flexibly. Do you work two days or more per week from home? Then you will receive an allowance of €45 net per month.
