NDT Cross Checker

NDT Crosschecker required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Dubai.

Responsibilities

Ensure that the appropriate NDT methods (e.g., ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant) are being used correctly and effectively.
Confirm that the procedures comply with industry standards and specifications.
Analyze and review inspection reports for accuracy and completeness.
Cross-check findings with previous reports and data to ensure consistency and reliability.
Verify that all testing and inspections comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Check the calibration status of NDT equipment and instruments to ensure they are functioning correctly and accurately.
Verify that the correct equipment is used for the specific type of test.
Evaluate test results and data to identify any anomalies or defects.
Cross-check interpretations with other team members to confirm findings.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections and tests conducted.
Document any discrepancies and actions taken to resolve them.
Provide guidance and training to junior NDT technicians and inspectors.
Share best practices and ensure continuous improvement in NDT processes.
Liaise with other departments, clients, and stakeholders to coordinate inspection activities and clarify any findings.
Communicate effectively to ensure all parties are informed of inspection results and any required actions.
Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure the reliability and accuracy of NDT results.
Participate in audits and quality assessments.
Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies identified during inspections.
Recommend corrective actions and improvements to prevent recurrence.Requirements

Certification in NDT methods from recognized bodies such as ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing), PCN (Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing), or equivalent ISO 9712 NDT Certification.
Several years of hands-on experience in NDT inspections and methods.
3+ years' experience in offshore wind.
Proven experience in reviewing and verifying NDT reports and data.
Experience in quality assurance or quality control roles can be beneficial.
In-depth knowledge of various NDT methods (ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, eddy current).
Familiarity with NDT equipment and software.
Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
Keen eye for detail in reviewing reports and interpreting test results.
Strong problem-solving skills to address issues and recommend improvements.
Ability to make informed decisions based on data and test results
