Currently, we are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Children's Deputy Manager for a learning disability or Emotional and Behavioral Disorder (EBD) home in Kent.
Job Description: As the Children's Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the residential home. You will work closely with the management team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support for children with learning disabilities or EBD. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to the welfare and development of vulnerable children in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Registered Manager in leading and supervising a dedicated team of support staff, providing guidance and support as required.
Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, focusing on meeting the specific needs and goals of each resident.
Support the maintenance of a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Liaise effectively with external stakeholders, including families, local authorities, and healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care and support for residents.
Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of staff members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as budget management, record-keeping, and regulatory compliance, to ensure smooth operational functioning of the home. Requirements:
Previous experience working within a similar role in a residential care setting, ideally with children with learning disabilities or EBD.
Relevant qualifications in social care or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care).
Sound understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines within the social care sector.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
