Currently, we are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Children's Team Leader for a learning disability or Emotional and Behavioral Disorder (EBD) home in Essex.
Job Description: As the Children's Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership and support to a dedicated team of support staff. You will work closely with the management team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support for children with learning disabilities or EBD. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children while developing your leadership skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of support staff, providing guidance, direction, and support in their day-to-day roles.
Assist in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of each resident.
Promote a safe and nurturing environment within the residential home, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Support residents in their daily activities, encouraging independence, social interaction, and personal development.
Liaise effectively with external stakeholders, including families, social workers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care and support.
Undertake sleep-in duties as required, providing overnight support and assistance to residents as needed. Requirements:
Previous experience working within a similar role in a residential care setting, ideally with children with learning disabilities or EBD.
Relevant qualifications in health and social care or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team, promoting a positive working environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships.
A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable children and young people, promoting their well-being and development. Benefits:
