Alfreton, Derbyshire

This position is part time position across 3 or 4 days (to be agreed), salary £30,000, plus death in service, pension scheme, Christmas vouchers.

The QHSE Officer will be responsible for maintaining and executing quality, environmental & health and safety standards, along with maintaining the QHSE systems that are already in place, with a focus on maintaining compliance to ensure adherence to company and customer standards are achieved.

The specific areas the proposed candidate will be responsible for are detailed below.

QHSE:

* Maintain the company's policies & procedures which are part of an integrated Management System in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards.

* Monitoring the quality, environmental & health and safety performance across the business.

* Report status of QHSE compliance requirements to the Leadership Team.

* Ensure risk assessments are carried out and safe working procedures are implemented.

* Develop a positive health and safety culture.

* Conduct regular proactive safety inspections.

* Provide guidance and advice to management on QHSE requirements.

* Ensure health and safety equipment (e.g. PPE) is in place and used.

* Assess training requirements and arrange training.

* Maintain training matrix & records.

* Accident and incident investigation and reporting.

* Respond to environmental & health and safety related complaints or issues.

* Review, investigate & correct product non-conformance issues.

* Monitor manufacturing & production processes to ensure that they meet the required standards.

* Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

* Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports.

* Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements.

* Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve the desired QHSE standards.
