Compass Corporate Services are thrilled to be partnering with a provider of specialist adult’s services. Our client supports service users throughout the country, across their supported living, residential and community support services. Together we are searching for an accomplished HR & Payroll Business Partner to add significant value to the internal team.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join the organisation as HR & Payroll Business Partner. An action-oriented leader with a track record in human resource policies, procedures and best practises, as well as payroll process, compliance and regulatory requirements is needed for the position. You will be managing the HR and Payroll teams and be capable of guiding and mentoring them towards achieving collective objectives. There is both strategic and operational elements to the role and the successful candidate will enjoy getting hands on with the team. Previous experience in the health and social care industry is desirable for this role, and your deeply rooted knowledge will allow you to hit the ground running. There is also a need for you to have cross-functional capabilities, you will be collaborating closely with the Director of People, Talent Acquisition Business Partner, and Head of L&D to ensure departmental alignment. Through your work, you will create a seamless and cohesive HR and Payroll function, you will curate new procedures that improve operational efficiency and enhance employee satisfaction, while also driving continuous improvement. As a seasoned manager, you will utilise your skills to improve onboarding, activation and retention of prospects. It is crucial that you have extensive experience in a role of a similar nature. It is envisaged that this is a full-time permanent role.

Location

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days spent in the Leicester based Head Office, and 2 days spent working from home. Commutable from Leicester, Tamworth, Birmingham, Derby, Coventry, Market Bosworth, Walsall, Lichfield, Loughborough, Nuneaton, Rugby, Lutterworth, Bedworth, etc.

Essential Criteria

* CIPD Level 5 is essential, however, CIPD Level 7 is desirable.

* Relevant payroll qualifications, such as the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals is desirable.

* Extensive experience in roles of a similar nature within a large organisation (circa. 700+ staff) is necessary.

* Experience in a strategic HR Business Partner role is essential, with a strong understanding of HR policies, procedures and practices.

* Thorough understanding of payroll procedures and regulatory/legal compliance.

* Health and social care background is desired.

* Provable experience managing HR and Payroll projects.

* Proficient in using HRIS and payroll software.

* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform decisions.

* Excellent communication skills and ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders.

* Clear ability to manage complex HR and payroll issues and curate effective solutions.

* In-depth understanding of employment law and its relation to HR management.

Interview Process

This is a multi-stage interview process. Firstly a screening call with consultant Isobel, followed by a screening call with the client’s Recruitment Lead, an informed discussion with the Recruitment Business Partner, and finally a formal interview with the Director of People.
