Job description
Pertemps are currently recruiting several Class 1 Drivers (C+E) to work on a ad hock ongoing basis for our client based in Newark. You will be required to do fridge work carry out trunk runs to distribution centres.
What will I be expected to do?
Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport goods and materials.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Secure cargo using straps, chains, and tarps as needed.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions.
Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
What shifts and start times are available?
We have day shifts starting from 05:00 and nights starting from 16:00 onwards.
How much will I be paid as a HGV Driver?
You will be paid £14.00ph for days and £15:00ph for nights.
Which skills or experience do I need to apply?
2 Years minimum Class 1 experience
Category C+E (HGV 1) on your licence
Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification
