Teaching Assistant

PK Education are currently searching for candidates interested in the following role:

Vacancy:              Teaching Assistants

Start Date:          September

Duration:             TBC (Approx 2 terms)

Rate of Pay:        £90-120 per day

School Details:  The school is a specialist Autism unit set in a stunning location in the mid Derbyshire region.  The school is a provider of specialist education as well as therapy and care for children and young people aged 5 – 19 years, with speech, language and communication needs and/or Aspergers Syndrome.

Role Requirements/Responsibilities:  Some roles will require 1:1 support with specific pupils requiring academic support as well as behavioural support.   There may also be a requirement for ad hoc support with other pupils on the main school site and possibly on another site associated with the school.

Candidate Requirements:  To be considered for a role with this school candidates must have experience of providing support to pupils on the autistic spectrum or at the very least within similar SEND organisations.  It is preferable that candidates have a minimum of a level 3 TA qualification but it is not mandatory.
