Maintech are currently partnered with one of the UK’s premier vehicle manufacturers, this household name brand operate within the Motor / People transport / Trucking industry and have their people at the forefront of everything they do.
The client is currently looking to add a HGV Technician to their technical division within their people transport and truck division, the HGV Technicians primary role will be to have technical and practical competency when it comes to the repair and maintenance of HGVs, and you must be able to effectively communicate at all levels on a written and verbal basis.
Roles and Responsibilities of the HGV Technician Role:
Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsibly.
Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repair.
Ensure company time recording procedures are complied with, and that job cards are completed accurately.
Ensure service sheets are completed.
Ensure all vehicle defects are reported to workshop controllers.   
Skills required to be successful in this HGV Technician Role:
Apprentice trained and experience within the HGV industry.
NVQ Level 3 in commercial vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
Ability to analyse processes and offer tailored solutions.  
Effective verbal and written communication.  
The package for a HGV Technician includes:
Basic Salary of up to £36,000.
Working week of Monday – Friday (6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm).
Optional OT on Saturday at 1.5x.
25 days Annual Leave + Bank holidays increasing with service.
