Are you an experienced Refuse Driver with a Class 2 vehicle licence? Our client, a leading waste management organisation in Bolton, is looking for a skilled and reliable Refuse Driver to join their team! 💪
✨ The Role:
As a Refuse Driver, you will play a vital role in providing full assistance to the Recycling/Refuse Loaders. You will be responsible for operating a Class 2 vehicle, conducting daily vehicle checks, and reporting any defects promptly. Additionally, you'll perform routine maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations and optimise vehicle performance. 🚚
📝 Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Recycling/Refuse Loaders efficiently and effectively.
Conduct daily Operators Licence vehicle checks, keeping accurate record sheets.
Immediately report any vehicle or equipment defects to the Vehicle Fleet Management service.
Undertake routine maintenance and repairs, minimising breakdowns and ensuring compliance.
Operate the vehicle in a way that supports the team in achieving their round targets.
Safely load and unload heavy loads onto the bin waggon. ⚙️
🔨 Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Previous experience as a Refuse Driver.
Valid Class 2 driver's licence
Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety practises.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate gear, including safety boots and high visibility vest. 👷♀️👷♂️
💼 What's on offer:
Temporary contract with an immediate start date on the 10th of June, 2024.
Competitive hourly rate starting from £14.06
