Head of Commercial

Do you operate as a Head of Commercial and seeking a new role in the construction sector?

This is a crucial commercial leadership role, one that will have a high degree of senior level exposure so should appeal to those with the ambition to make a name for themselves.
Your main responsibility will be to manage the commercial department on a day to day basis and provide wider strategic support to the Directors.
As Head of Commercial, your typical responsibilities will include the following weekly / monthly:
* Managing a commercial team of varying levels across multiple projects, providing guidance and mentoring where required.
* Liaising with the operations team and support services to ensure the timely delivery of projects.
* Ensuring the timely provision of monthly cost value reconciliations, cashflow monitoring, and monthly and quarterly forecasts.
* Monthly applications for payment.
* Monitor project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy when required.
* Work with clients and stakeholders to achieve optimum commercial solutions.
* Ensure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures including for procurement and subcontract management.
* Provide commercial input into the Pre-Construction/Tender phase of projects.
To be considered for the role we are looking for people with the following:
* Previous experience in managing a commercial team (ideally across multiple projects).
* Experience in the construction sector.
* Strong all round knowledge of standard forms of contract.
* Proactive and approachable leadership skills.
* Ambition to drive departmental success.
