HR/H&S Generalist (4 days per week)
The role is a stand-alone role reporting directly into the board of Directors and covers the full HR Generalist function. The role includes Manging the Health & Safety for the Company:
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage full employee life cycle
* Recruitment
* Employee relations
* Learning & Development
* Organise & plan training
* Monitoring time keeping & attendance
* Manage long term absences
* Manage Disciplinary / Grievance process
* Coaching / guiding supervisors
* Keep Directors updated with Employment law changes
* All HR / HS administration
* Maintain Sage HR system
* Liaise with other departments
* Preparing Risk assessments (and updating when required)
* Complete Accident / incident investigations
* Maintain contractors files
* Maintain COSSH documents (and update when required)
* Complete fire checks & ensure inspections are carried out annually.
* Co-ordinate with Apprenticeship provider in all matters relating to apprentices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
* Proven HR generalist experience
* CIPD level 3 (or equivalent industry experience)
* IOSH / NEBOSH certification (preferable)
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
* Comfortable working in a stand alone environment
* Ability to prioritize workload
* Strong communicator
* Excellent organizational skills
Hours of Work:
Monday – Thursday 07.30hrs – 16:30hrs (flexible)
