A school in Warrington is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing learning environment and providing essential support to students who may face behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualised support to students within the school setting, implementing effective strategies to encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members to develop and implement tailored behaviour management plans for students with specific needs.
• Assist in the observation, assessment, and documentation of student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the implementation of school-wide behaviour policies and interventions, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
• Serve as a positive role model for students, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to their success.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Previous experience working in a school or educational setting, preferably in a support role, is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information effectively and sensitively.
• Experience with challenging behaviour is essential
• Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure, particularly in challenging situations.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A genuine passion for supporting the behavioural and emotional development of students, with a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for all
