Internal Auditor

Heyland Recruitment are currently working exclusively alongside this niche logistics services organisation as they look to recruit a well-rounded internal auditor into the head office team in Warrington. Following a significant investment into the business they are seeking a diligent and experienced professional from either a financial or engineering / health and safety audit background ideally with previous system implementation experience.

Reporting to the FD you will undertake the following key responsibilities:

Set up an audit programme to ensure that vehicle maintenance is compliant
Ongoing audits of:
Servicing in line with documentation requirements
Oil & filter changes check
Oil usage and wastage checks
Hours of work
Correct working in line with SOPs
Engineering hours
Drivers hours
Other internal processes
Play leading role in system implementation and be "superuser"
Examine system & vehicle files to ensure inspection intervals & servicing are met
Track corrective actions and non-conformities
Sample repairs and documentation/systems to ensure closure with appropriate actions
Work with ED to ensure practical quality checks are carried out by the engineering managers
Safety checks utilising our risk assessments and safe systems of work
Ongoing audit programme for company policies and procedures with reports
Monitor range performance of the new EV fleet
Provide a monthly board report
