We are currently recruiting a temporary cover chef for our client in Arbroath, Angus.

Responsibilities:

Effective and efficient food production in line with recipe sheet
Full knowledge of all menu items serve
Management of production to ensure minimal wastage
Maintenance of food levels throughout all service period
Maintenance of food quality and brand standard
Ensuring the maintenance of high hygiene and health and safety standards in line with Aramark requirements and identify any anomalies and incident
Capturing and recording all volumes consumed and overproduction
Assisting in the compilation of all shift opening and closing checklist
Discussing ideas or improvements with line manage
Act as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks
Undertake relevant training as require
In addition to the above, Chefs may occasionally be required to undertake ad hoc back of house and front of house duties in line with business requirements
ALL chef staff must wear long sleeve chef jackets and non slip shoes.Requirements:

Proven experience as a kitchen assistant, commis chef, or relevant role is required.
Basic understanding of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for food.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
