Calling all Pipeline Engineers or similar! 

I'm currently working with a Tier 1 Contractor who is looking for an expereinced Principle Pipeline engineer or similar job title based in either Manchester or Arberdeen.

Principal Pipeline Engineer Position Overview:

Due to growth, the client has an opening for a Principal Pipeline Engineer to join their vibrant team based in either Manchester or Aberdeen. The pipeline design and engineering consultancy team encompasses non-standard disciplines, including pipelines, subsea, materials, and related ad hoc consultancy specialists.

The energy sector engineering team is expanding for UK projects in the energy transition and conventional oil & gas fields. They are actively seeking candidates for this leadership position within the discipline. The role involves managing and growing the existing team while providing technical leadership.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Discipline Manager oversees functional and line management of the discipline. Their responsibilities include delivering engineering design on projects through people, processes, and systems. The role combines technical expertise, study management, and technical business development to support the client’s leading-edge strategy for pipeline design and engineering.

Working Arrangement:

This is a hybrid role, with 2/3 days based at either the Manchester or Aberdeen office, along with the option for dynamic working.

Role Requirements:

Holds an HNC/HND or degree in engineering, preferably chartered.
Possesses 10 years of experience in technical delivery and management.
Demonstrates expertise in pipelines and a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry.
Applies relevant regulatory codes and standards (e.g., PD8010, TDI) to pipeline routing and mechanical design.
Prepares pipeline-related specifications and data sheets, including methods for pipeline crossing details.
Champions sustainability, safety, health, and the environment by prioritizing personal safety and well-being.
Upholds integrity by consistently doing the right thing.
Maintains a customer-focused approach, striving for excellence by understanding and meeting their needs.
