Vacancy: Site Manager
Location: Aberdeen
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To organise the day to day running of the site and to supervise all trades to ensure a high quality of workmanship.
Managing employees on site, keeping paperwork up to date including - time sheets, allocation sheets, dayworks, etc.
Following all safety procedures in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Plan.
DUTIES:
* Organise all labour on site, including Sub Contractors.
* Quality Control.
* Make sure all plant and machines are used efficiently on site.
* Setting out.
* Maintaining safety records.
* Keeping site records up to date.
* Maintain filing system.
* Checking time sheets.
* Ensure site is tidy.
* Keeping safety/scaffold/plant register is up to date.
* Carry out all duties in accordance with Site Agent's Procedure Manual.
AUTHORITY - The job-holder's authority is:
The post holder has the authority and discretion to carry out all duties and necessary decisions regarding site workings.
TARGETS - What, or how much, the job-holder is expected to achieve:
* Build programmes to be worked to achieve customer handover.
* Quality standard has to be achieved.
* Maintain and enhance company profile.
* Strive for Zero defects
CONTACTS/LIAISON:
Internal: Contracts Manager, Plant Dept, Wages Dept, Employees on site, Health and Safety, Productivity, Specialist Works.
External: Sub Contractors, Water services, Hydro Board, Gas Board, British Telecom.

REPORTING TO:
Project Manager
QUALIFICATIONS/RELEVANT INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE :
* Previous experience in the construction industry.
* Experience in dealing with Architects, Engineers, Clients, Sub-contractors
* Ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
* Health and safety qualification. Minimum of SMSTS and CSCS card.
