We are currently recruiting a Lift Supervisor / Quayside Ops Foreman based at Aberdeen Harbour for approx. 3 months, potentially longer.
Duties:
- Assist with operations planning
- Writing lift plans and traffic management plans
- Overseeing quayside operations for loading/unloading vessels
- Working quayside and with vessel holds/decks
- Directing workers to complete operations in a safe manner
- Delivering toolbox talks to workers prior to starting operations
- Reporting of unsafe practices
- On occasion stepping down to lower duties to work under current supervisors
Desired Qualities/Qualifications
Qualifications required:
- LOLER Competent Person
- Banksman/Slinger Training
- ISOH Managing Safely Training or similar training in carrying our risk assessments and managing a safe operation
- Forklift training (not essential but beneficial)
Skills:
- Good people manager
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to problem solve
