Climb Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading, worldwide supplying manufacturing company who due to continued growth, are looking for a talented Supply Chain Manager to join the team.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the strategic sourcing and purchasing for our client’s products and services while maintaining cost efficiency and supporting the company wide supply chain operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

*

Liaising with current Mills and suppliers to identify purchasing requirements

*

Focus on underperforming mills to improve Quality & Delivery

*

Source new mills and suppliers

*

Supplier selection & negotiation based on Quality, Delivery & Price

*

Reporting data behind key purchasing metrics and following up with suppliers on related problems

*

Conducting regular business reviews with key suppliers and issuing reports to management

*

Liaise with QA on supplier quality issues and follow up with suppliers to close our cause and corrective actions

Role Requirements

As this is a senior role, substantial purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is essential to this position

*

Demonstrable experience of successful supplier negotiations

*

A strong technical background

*

Ability to travel approximately 60% of the time. This will largely cover Europe but there is a need to travel further afield when required.

*

Strong computer literacy
