Payroll and Finance Officer

Seeking a permanent and full time payroll and finance officer ideally with previous experience working within payroll or finance and either AAT certification, or be part qualified with CIMA, ACCA, ACA or possess an accounting degree.

Would suit someone with administration skills, this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills and experience, playing a key role in the finance department within a educational setting .

Starting salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience, paid holidays, further training and excellent career progression opportunities will be provided.

As Payroll and Finance Officer, duties and responsibilities will include ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the payroll and be the primary point of contact for payroll, pension and benefits queries from staff.

You will also be responsible for all payroll accounting, accounting for the General Charitable Trust, as well as trip accounting.

Ideally suit someone with :

* A willingness to complete a CIPP qualification if not already qualified

* Basic knowledge or experience of payroll practices

* AAT certification, or be part qualified with CIMA, ACCA, ACA or possess an accounting degree

A thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices is equally important.
