As a Housekeeping Office Coordinator you will be working in Accommodation department and will be reporting into Director of Accommodation Services.
You will be surrounded by a dynamic and passionate team working in a fast paced environment. Creativity will be a key element to your role and success, as you will be committed to providing the best product to our guests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintains the handover book, tracks “on loan” guest items
* Ensures that the staff hours entered is accurately up-to-date & maintained daily in the rota book and T&A system
* Ensures Agency Time sheets are correct and sent on time
* Ensures that all extra rooms and deducted hours are accurately entered into the system
* Recommends any improvements that may benefit the business
* Coordinates training program, ensuring all colleagues are trained and records are kept in order
* To liaise with the Reception Shift Leader and Floor Supervisor to ensure there are enough ready rooms for arriving guests
* Ensures any maintenance faults are recorded in Opera and follow up to ensure jobs have been carried out
* Ensures all quality spot checks are calculated properly and results are entered in the spreadsheets
* Attends training programs as requested
* Recognize any issues that will act as barriers to achieving departmental objectives; inform the Accommodation Managers or Director of Accommodation of the barriers
* Liaise and follow up on work requests with the Front Office, Engineering, Room Service, and other related departments
* Is attentive to all guests and ensures that special requests are delivered on time and in a professional manner
* Handle guest complaints promptly, efficiently, and diplomatically, and bring all complaints to the attention of the Accommodation Manager
* Correctly handles any lost property inquiry following the agreed procedure
* Is fully aware of guestrooms, functions, and VIP movements within the hotel
* Is familiar with and observes and enforces all house rules and hotel policies
* Has a proficient working knowledge of Opera Management System.
