Are you an experienced and compassionate Qualified Social Worker looking for an exciting career advancement? We are delighted to offer a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Social Worker to join the Initial Consultation and Advice Team (ICAT) in the vibrant borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

About the Role

As a Senior Social Worker within ICAT, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and young people in our community. Your expertise will be essential in supporting our team to provide timely and comprehensive assessments and interventions, similar to a MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) team.

Key Responsibilities

Expert Guidance: Assess and manage complex cases, providing consultation and support to team members and partner agencies.
Collaboration: Act as a primary contact for external agencies, fostering close collaboration to share vital information and make informed decisions for the benefit of children and young people.
Advocacy: Participate actively in case conferences and meetings, advocating for the rights and well-being of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard.
Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records and contribute to the development and implementation of effective safeguarding policies, procedures, and best practices.
Professional Development: Support the growth and development of the team through supervision, mentoring, and training.

Requirements

Qualifications: Hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
Experience: Extensive experience in a safeguarding context with a solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure.
Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, partner agencies, and diverse stakeholders.
Analytical Ability: Strong capability to analyse complex information, assess risks, and make evidence-based decisions to protect children and young people.
Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Passion: A genuine dedication to ongoing professional development and a passion for promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
