Freight Account Manager - Hounslow - Up to £35,000
Our client who are a UK freight forwarder are currently recruiting for an experienced Freight Account Manager to join their growing business in the Hounslow area.
The role is to account management and provide, pricing, quotations and negotiate rates for all freight consignments, liaising with customers, shipping lines and overseas agents, negotiating rates, and spot quotations with high levels of customer service at all levels.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: 09:00am to 17:30pm - Monday to Friday
What is on offer:
Salary: Up to £35,000
28 Days Holiday (including Bank Holidays)The Role:
Account manager clients of the business
Customer quotes and follow ups
Obtaining and negotiation of freight rates, local charges and delivery rates
Developing business relationships with existing and new customer base
Assist with the completion of tenders & marketing tools
Assist with the clear handover process to operations for any shipments won
Develop relationships with overseas agents and assist with routed business in the form of providing charges and local information to themFrom You:
Experience in UK freight covering quoting, invoicing and negotiating rates
Good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in Air, Road and/or Sea freight in the UK (Requirement)
Good general IT skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a good written and telephone manner
Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace
Effective team worker
