Our client has a newly created opportunity for a conveyancing professional to join their team as a Title Checker.
Candidates can work on a full or part-time basis and remote or hybrid working is also available.
This would be ideal for someone who has taken time away from the profession and is looking to return – or someone who is no longer wanting a front facing role in conveyancing.
The role would support the main fee earners within the practice - helping with title checking predominately.
Job Description
* Checking freehold, leasehold, shared ownership and unregistered titles
* Recognise complex issues affecting transactions including probate and matrimonial implications on a transaction
* Acting on instruction of and reporting to directors
* Be responsible for the department compliance of anti-money laundering regulations and quality procedures
* Ensure a high standard of file management and awareness of essential procedures
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working within a busy conveyancing team as a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive. You will be able to deal with all freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, new build, remortgage and transfer of equity transactions from start to finish.
A good standard of literacy and numeracy, plus attention to details is essential – as is a pleasant manner and good time management skills. We are also looking for a candidate who will work well within a team environment and be flexible and co-operative.
