We are currently looking on behalf of our client, A Sandwich Production Chef. This is exceptional opportunity for a talented and ambitious Head Sandwich and Salad Chef to spearhead the Catering team and the forthcoming Salad team within our production unit in West Acton. As the Head Sandwich and Salad Chef, you will oversee the production of various sandwiches and salads (and two teams), ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food and service. This role will entail two shifts: a morning shift aligned with the salad team from 6 am to 3 pm, and an evening shift aligned with the catering team from 10 pm to 7 am. We are seeking an individual who possesses: ● Extensive experience in high-volume pre-packed salad box production, including a proven track record of producing 500 packs per day, as well as experience managing production levels ranging from 600 to 1000 sandwiches per day. ● Proficiency in new dish development and costing. ● Expertise in salad preparation from scratch, along with comprehensive knowledge of new dish development and costing. ● A thorough understanding of HACCP, Health & Safety regulations. ● Food Hygiene Level 3 certification. ● Demonstrated experience in team management, including overseeing a team of 10-12 members, managing rota schedules, and fostering a collaborative work environment. ● Proficiency in ordering, stock rotation, and inventory management. ● A leadership style characterized by leading by example, providing effective training and development opportunities for team members. ● Strong communication skills, enabling efficient collaboration with team members, other departments, and management.
