Our client, a market leader in the construction materials supply marketplace is looking for a Project Manager to lead the Data initiatives supporting a range of transformation projects across their European businesses.
What you’ll be doing
The Data Project Manager will lead complex technology, digital transformation, data strategy, and analytical efforts. You will have experience in defining and implementing Data Strategy, Data Quality Management and Data Governance. This is a complex role and will call on a range of skills typically learned as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Analytics Manager or Data Strategy / Governance consultant.
A good knowledge of Azure infrastructure, DevOps & appropriate methodologies will be beneficial but this is not technical role.
You will be responsible for…
* Strategy alignment & delivery of data roadmap
* Working closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, resources, budget and timescales
* Drive change through effective management of technical and non-technical business stakeholders
* Communication, progress reporting to Programme Directors and PMO team
* Responsible for project management of workstream, project plan to deliver workstream co-ordination and running the steering committee and working groups of the workstream
* Cost planning and management
* Management of project teams and third party vendors
* Project leadership and governance
* Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
* Work with other project managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
What we need from you
* A strong project manager used to working in an Agile environment
* Experience working with Azure DevOps
* Ability to help breakdown technical requirements in the data space and express data engineering user stories
* Ability to align a project across multiple functions and regions
* Manage project plans & measure to budgets
* Resource planning
* Manage critical dependencies
* Maintain risk register
* Produce high quality project updates
* Stakeholder alignment
What skills & experience you’ll bring to us
* A data thought leader with a strong base in data ethics
* Certified Scrum Master / Certified Agile Project Management Practitioner / Certified Prince2 Practitioner / ISEB Certification in Requirement Engineering
* Project management tooling experience (Jira, Confluence, etc…)
