Production Team Leader, Lathe, Manufacturing, Stoke to £26,000
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Production Team Leader to join one of the world leading leisure brands. They are leader in manufacturing products for their sector and require a Production Team Lead To effectively manage the manufacture of products in a safe and timely fashion to the required specification requested by the customer.
Key Responsibilities
* To lead a team of skilled engineering operatives
* Ensure requested information is submitted in a timely manner
* Manage the delivery requirements of picked parts with production planner.
* Actively review all sales and works orders to ensure correct build specification.
* Attend daily team leader meeting and present update to Operations Manager of current build progress
* Liaise effectively with all departments
* Ensure the efficient running of the department and allocation of resource
* Be proactive in developing the wheel department processes and team
* Work with the Quality department on the inspect of all products
* Manage workload and advise of any potential skill / time shortfalls.
* Conduct team appraisals working with Operations Manager on team objectives.
* Help conduct and review at timely intervals risk assessments
* Train, allocate resource & develop new staff members
* Monitor Timekeeping, sickness and absence informing Manager of any areas of concern
* Ensure appropriate stock levels are sufficient and accurate
* Ensure health and safety requirements are met within the department
* Ensure timely and accurate output of products
* Successfully build and maintain effective relationships with Senior Managers demonstrating
effective interpersonal and relationship management skills
* Focus on results, taking personal responsibility for delivering on performance objectives
and delivers a high-quality service
Qualifications and skills
* Team leading / management experience preferable but training will be given to the right
candidate defendant on attitude shown and the willingness to learn
* Strong skills in all areas of engineering and machining – Lathe experience essential
* Good overall product knowledge
