Taylor Blackwood Associates is seeking Skilled 6G TIG Welders to join our client's team in Walsall. As a Welder, your duties will include fabricating and welding various metal components using power tools and hand tools.
Key Requirements:
* Experience with 6G TIG welding is essential.
* Hourly pay: £27.50 - £32.50
* Working hours: 40 – 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with Day/Night shifts available.
Responsibilities:
* Perform 6G TIG welding on stainless steel and carbon pipes.
* Interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications.
* Use measuring tools to ensure accurate weld placement.
* Set up TIG welding equipment and select appropriate welding methods.
* Execute diverse welding techniques like Butt welding.
* Inspect welds for quality and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
* Utilize hand and power tools for metal cutting, shaping, and refining.
* Maintain high-quality standards, as products will undergo X-ray examination.
Qualifications:
* Demonstrated TIG welding expertise.
* Proficiency in Butt welding techniques.
* Experience with Stainless and Carbon steel.
* Familiarity with welding codes is advantageous.
* Mechanical aptitude for precise assembly and welding.
* Ability to interpret blueprints and product specifications accurately.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering top-notch work.
* Proficient use of hand and power tools.
