Highways Site Manager

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Highways Site Manager on behalf of a specialist civil engineering contractor to manage ongoing works in the Yorkshire area.
The company are an industry leader in their field, delivering highways related civil engineering solutions to clients for over 30 years. They operate across a number of Area's for National Highways and have built a reputation for consistency.
Due to recent acquisition of projects they are building a larger team for Area 12 delivery hence adding a new Site Manager to the team. This role will purely be working in Area 12 - Yorkshire region for National Highways work.
Please note: this role will consist of a number of night shifts due to the nature of the work being on high speed road networks. The uplift in rate is reflected in salary.
Duties as Site Manager:
* Manage site team to deliver projects to quality targets and deadlines.
* Updating of site specific RAMS & documentation.
* HSE toolbox talks.
* Monitoring H&S on site.
* Man management.
* Ordering materials.
* Managing sub-contractors.
* Daily site diaries.
* Attending progress meetings.
* Promoting sustainable solutions for projects.
Experience Required as Project Manager:
* Experience working as Site Manager on civil engineering & highways projects as main contractor.
* Experience working on Highways England / National Highways projects.
* Ability to manage civil engineering projects at all stages as PC.
* Qualifications: CSCS, SMSTS are essential.
* Degree or HNC/HND qualified is preferred.
Remuneration:
On offer is a salary of £53,000 along with overtime available to increase to a total pay of around £62,000 plus... package incl: Car or allowance, pension, annual leave, healthcare and more.
