Hourly Rate: £40

Leeds City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Children and Family Assessment Team. This essential role involves working with children and families to provide thorough assessments, support, and intervention to promote their well-being and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct detailed assessments of children and families to identify needs and inform care planning.
Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective intervention and support for children and families.
Direct Work with Children and Families: Build trusting relationships and provide direct support to children and their families to promote positive outcomes.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals and agencies to coordinate and deliver comprehensive services.
Safeguarding: Identify and address safeguarding concerns, developing and implementing protection plans when necessary.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and documentation to support case management and legal proceedings.Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker: Must be a registered Social Worker with a recognized qualification.
Experience: Proven experience in child and family assessments, child protection, and safeguarding.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
