Job Description:As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial transactions of the company and ensuring that all records are up-to-date and accurate. Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Recording and maintaining financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions
Processing and managing payroll for employees
Generating financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Communicating with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters
Providing support to the finance team during audits and tax filings
Identifying areas for process improvements and implementing best practices to streamline operations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Peachtree)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
