In this role, the Gastroenterologist will be primarily responsible for conducting thorough investigations, making accurate diagnoses, and implementing effective treatment plans for stomach and intestinal-based diseases. Requirements
Evaluating patients: Consulting with patients to understand their health concerns
Diagnosing: Using a variety of tests, including minimally invasive procedures, to diagnose gastrointestinal (GI) diseases and conditions
Treating: Managing and treating a broad range of conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), jaundice, liver disorders, anemia, gastrointestinal bleeding, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and gastrointestinal cancers
Providing advice: Recommending ways to maintain health and prevent disease, including diet and nutrition changes
Performing procedures: Performing routine procedures such as colonoscopies and liver biopsies, and inserting IV feeding lines
Researching: Conducting research involving GI endoscopic procedures and interpreting the results
Monitoring: Helping people with long-term conditions and monitoring patients
