Job Description
AbbVie U.S. Immunology is seeking a Marketing Director to lead the portfolio strategy for our Immunology Account Executives.  This individual will put the IAE team in the best position to win by driving strategic direction, leading product teams, and creating targeted, evidence-based product and economic messaging to deliver value to our customers.  This involvement spans market research, market analytics and competitive intelligence, R&D and clinical trials, product launches, promotion, and post-market analysis.  The Marketing Director will have full strategic and tactical marketing accountability for Immunology Account Executive initiatives aligned to AbbVie’s Rheumatology, Dermatology and Gastroenterology portfolio. 
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Hire, develop, and lead a staff of Associate Directors and Marketing Managers.  Continue to build a culture of transparency, accountability, and engagement to maximize business impact.
Build current and future competitive advantage by understanding & addressing key customers’ needs, and by demonstrating a deep understanding of competitors’ strategies.
Effectively champion and communicate the Immunology Account Executive vision and strategies to all related stakeholders, gaining support for initiatives and sharing periodic performance updates along the way. 
Partner with cross-functional groups (Brand Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Sales, Sales Training, Consumer Marketing, Market Analytics and Business Insights, Finance, HR, OEC, etc.) to ensure integration and consistency of professional business strategies and regulatory compliance of promotional materials.
Direct, initiate, and oversee effective marketing strategies that are executable, easily communicated, and clinically supported.
Lead resource development to create connections between AbbVie Immunology brands and disease management strategies to drive better outcomes.
Stay abreast of payer and policy trends affecting Health Systems, IDNs, and Large Group Practices, and use this information to design new or different strategies and tactics to achieve goals.
Balance business priorities and resources, adapting to the external and internal environment.
Demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills to understand scientific and financial data, recognize key issues, establish priorities, and prepare high-level presentations for senior executive staff review.
