Mechanical Project Engineer

White Label Recruitment are excited to be working with an extremely reputable and market leading manufacturing company based in Leeds in their search of an Applications Engineer/Mechanical Engineer/Project Engineer

The Role:

* Interpreting customer requirements both technically and commercially

* Dealing with customers day-to-day enquiries by telephone, email and web calls/meetings

* Discussing engineering applications with customers and making commercial proposals

* Using in house calculations to select the most appropriate product for each application

* Developing technical documentation to support the sales function

* Creating technical drawings/models for products in CAD.

* Project managing multiple sales, design and application projects running concurrently

* A lot of variety to this role this should give you a better feel:

* 10-15% is CAD work mostly using AutoCAD. Creating 2d cad drawings to allow inspection of parts. Most of the Design Engineering is done in the Germany office

* 20% is quoting technical products and checking with suppliers and pricing, etc.

* 20% doing calculations to provide solutions to clients. Loading calculations. They have an internal program but can also be done by hand calculations

* 20% project management side of the project. Working with GMT Germany to manage all the information and working with engineers and production line to manage the design of the product, etc as well as liaising with the client

* 10% testing of parts and inspecting parts. Checking specification

The Person:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).

* Experience in an Application Engineering/Technical sales or customer facing role.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to work on and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Experience of using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Solidedge, etc)

Salary & Benefits:

* £25,000 - £45,000 – Dependent on experience

* 25 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays

* Hybrid Working – 1 Day WFH

* 37 Hour Working Week:

* Monday – Thursday – 8:20 am until 5:10pm

* Friday – 8:20 am until 1pm
