Class 1 Flatbed

SRS are looking for Class 1 Flatbed drivers for one of our clients based in Wakefield.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an HGV flatbed trailer to transport goods and materials to assigned destinations across the UK.

• Experience in transporting abnormal, long, and wide loads on a flatbed trailer, with a demonstrated proficiency in effectively securing loads using chains, binders, and straps.

• Load and unload securely and efficiently, ensuring proper securing techniques are applied.

• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and road safety standards while operating the vehicle. Requirements:

• Valid CPC & Tacho Card

• Proven experience as an HGV driver, preferably with flatbed experience.

• Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.

• Solid understanding of UK road regulations and traffic laws.

• Ability to read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively.

• Strong organisational and time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time Schedule: • Day shift • Monday to Friday

Experience:

• HGV: 2 years (required)

• Flatbed: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification:

• Driver CPC (required)

Pay for the role is £13 an hour PAYE.this can have holiday pay added to it to up the rate or kept as it is.
