Morgan McKinley is looking for an Assistant Accountant - Finance Assistant to work for a lovely company based in Brighton. The Assistant Accountant will work with the Finance Manager, assistant with management accounts, reconciliations, expenses, statements etc. This is a great role for someone with proven Finance / Accounts Assistant experience, ideally part qualified.
Location: Hybrid - Brighton
Salary: £28-30K
Assistant Accountant - Finance Assistant duties:
Assisting with the monthly management accounts prep
Maintaining fixed asset registers
Preparing accrual and prepayment journals
Balance sheet and petty cash reconciliations
Provide support with year-end statutory audit and tax compliance processes
Assist with the accounts payable and cash book reconciliation Skills and experience:
Experience working in a similar Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant type role
Excellent IT skills - MS Excel
Ideally be part qualified ACCA/CIMA
