Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic groundworks sub-contractor, managing projects ranging from £500,000 to £2,000,000. This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000, reflecting your skills and expertise.
Responsibilities
* Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of costs.
* Tender Preparation: Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
* Valuations: Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and prepare interim and final valuations.
* Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures, identify cost variances, and implement corrective actions to keep projects within budget.
* Procurement: Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices and terms.
* Contract Administration: Manage contractual relationships, including preparation and agreement of variations, claims, and final accounts.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management, highlighting key cost trends and projections.
* Compliance: Ensure all work complies with contractual and legal requirements, including health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the groundworks sub-contrator
* Qualifications: Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in cost management software.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and present complex information clearly.
